It’s all in the detail: The making of our custom-cast enamel doors
It’s not often that you have the opportunity to create something entirely from scratch, but with the fit out of our new venue, we’ve been lucky enough to do just that with so many of the different features.
Over the coming weeks we’ll reveal the intricacies of a few exciting processes and the lengths we went to, to create a new venue that we’re so excited to finally share with you, The Grounds of the City. You’ll hear the term ‘custom-made’ float around a lot, but it’s truly the best way to describe the new experience.
The Grounds of the City is now open, and if you join us, we encourage you to take a peak into our working spaces including in the open-plan kitchen and behind The Barista’s Bar. One thing you’ll note is the green and burgundy sand cast enamel doors. From the conception of the design to the finish, these have been custom-made. Designed by our legendary friends at ACME&Co, then moulded, sand cast, machined & polished, and finally enamelled to fit perfectly, these stunning doors are just one little feature that make up our new venue.
